ARKU disc brushes ensure good processing results. Depending on the application, different designs are used. While our slag hammer simply chips off the slag, discs with abrasive filaments ensure the non-directional edge rounding of your sheet metal edges. Even oxide removal can be accomplished with ARKU disc brushes by using the appropriate machine.

What disc brush designs are available?

Tools can be divided into one-row and two-row brushes. The two-row arrangement ensures a more uniform finish. Different types of filaments impact grinding performance and thus the edge rounding radius or the processing speed of the deburring machine. The optimal tool for any application can be provided by varying the filaments or grit sizes.

What is the disc brush used for?

Disc brushes are particularly suitable for edge rounding. They are also capable of removing small burrs or secondary burrs. Yet the actual job of disc brushes is the edge rounding of sheet metal edges. However, with the appropriate tool-machine combination in the EdgeRacer®, they also succeed in removing oxide along the cutting edges.

Specific disc tools are built to remove slag. The disc used for slag removal is equipped with carbide pins that will chip off the slag from the plasma and oxyfuel-cut part.
