Blechexpo 2025: Leveling. Deburring. Coil lines.

Numerous long-time customers and interested visitors from both Germany and abroad gathered at this year’s Blechexpo in Stuttgart to learn about innovations and new products related to the entire sheet metal processing chain.

Above all, the universal deburring machine EdgeBreaker® 6000 for stamped and laser  cut parts attracted the attention of industry professionals. It impresses with its ability to deburr, round edges, and finish surfaces. Using rotary brushes, it achieves a consistent edge rounding of up to a 2 mm radius, making it ideal for a wide range of geometries and material thicknesses. Thanks to its versatility, it proves to be a true all-rounder for various shapes, sizes, and processing requirements—one reason why it is particularly valued in laser job shops.

At the booth of our partner Teqram (Hall 5, Booth 5302), ARKU presented the new EdgeBreaker® 3000 NEXT a deburring machine designed for double-sided processing of laser cut and stamped parts, including automated loading and unloading. It removes burrs on both sides in a single pass, making it ideal for users who want to make their processes more efficient and save time. Thanks to innovative drive technology, the machine reduces energy consumption by up to 40%. Additional features increase productivity by up to 50%.

Another highlight was the discussion surrounding the new solution for fiber laser cut parts, the EdgeBreaker® 3000 FIBER, which was specifically developed to meet the challenges of fiber laser cutting. The machine reliably removes particularly hard burrs on both sides, rounds the edges for improved corrosion protection, and reduces processing time by up to 50%. For manufacturing companies using fiber lasers, this machine offers a consistent and high-quality solution.

ARKU demonstrated at Blechexpo how important leveling after cutting is to minimize distortions and residual stresses. The FlatMaster® 55 leveling machine showcased its performance live – the result of more than 60 years of ARKU experience. ARKU leveling machines bring parts, sheets & plates up to 60 mm thick to a flat, low-tension state. For easy operation, the FlatMaster – like almost all ARKU leveling and deburring machines – was equipped with the Wizard control system.

Another topic related to leveling was represented at the ARKU booth by the coil lines. ARKU uses these systems to supply material to stamping and forming presses as well as roll forming lines. A new addition to the product range is the Laser Blanking, which enables cost-effective processing directly from the coil, even for medium batch sizes. Compared to sheet-based processing, cutting from the coil produces significantly less scrap. Since there are no fixed sheet dimensions, parts can also be nested more efficiently. For large-area components, this can result in material savings of up to 30 percent.
