"We are deeply shocked in Germany and especially at ARKU by the scale of the devastation caused by the earthquake in Turkey and Syria," says Albert Reiss, managing partner of ARKU Maschinenbau.
However, the company also acted on this statement: ARKU supports the Action Alliance for Disaster Relief with a donation totaling 1,000 Euros. Caritas international, the German Red Cross, UNICEF and Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe have joined forces for this matter. ZDF has set up a donation account for this purpose as well.
Severe earthquakes hit the Turkish-Syrian border region in early February. A five-digit death toll is assumed. Numerous people are still missing under the rubble. "We hope that global aid will significantly mitigate the consequences of the disaster and that the affected regions can soon be rebuilt," says Reiss, also on behalf of all employees.
