Baden-Baden, May 2025 – ARKU Maschinenbau GmbH once again invites customers and industry professionals to the ARKU InfoDays 2025 – a key event for the sheet metal processing industry. Under the motto “Next-Level Deburring. Pure Innovation.”, visitors will experience groundbreaking technologies for deburring sheet metal parts and leveling sheet and coil materials from May 13 to 15, 2025, in Baden-Baden. The event features hands-on live demonstrations, new machinery, and expert advice.
The Highlight: The Premiere of the New EdgeBreaker® 3000 FIBER
Specifically developed for deburring and edge rounding of fiber laser cut parts, the new EdgeBreaker® 3000 FIBER is making its debut. Fiber laser cuts often leave particularly tough and stubborn burrs due to the high energy input during the cutting process. This usually causes deburring machines to frequently reach their limits here—resulting in incomplete edge processing or increased time requirements.
This is exactly where the EdgeBreaker® 3000 FIBER comes in: it combines a powerful grinding belt for double-sided deburring to reliably remove even the hardest burrs. The machine also includes specialized rounding blocks which smoothly round all the edges.
The result: 50% time savings by processing both sides in just a single pass—along with surface quality that meets customer expectations.
See It Live: Bring Your Fiber Parts, See the Results
“With the EdgeBreaker® 3000 FIBER, we’re taking fiber part deburring to a whole new level,” says Andreas Hellriegel, Head of Sales at ARKU. “We invite visitors to bring their own parts—we’ll demonstrate the machine’s performance live and on-site.”
Experience Innovations Live – Solutions for All Cutting Methods
ARKU also offers a true “next level” for traditional stamped and laser cut parts: the new EdgeBreaker® 3000 NEXT represents the most efficient solution for double-sided deburring and rounding. Thanks to intelligent technology, the process is efficient, reliable, and delivers consistent results—ideal for customers with high volume production and stringent quality demands.
A standout feature: the machine can handle sheet metal parts up to 2,000 mm wide, a true unique selling point.
The machine’s large glass front provides a clear view into the processing area, making process monitoring and control significantly easier. At the same time, this next-generation EdgeBreaker® is up to 40% more energy-efficient, thanks to an innovative drive system.
The Best of Both Worlds
For flame cut parts, ARKU presents the powerful EdgeBreaker® 9000 LINE—a complete double-sided processing solution that handles everything in a single pass after plasma cutting: slag removal, deburring, and edge rounding. The system can process flame cut parts with material thicknesses of up to 100 mm.
Smart Machine Control with the ARKU Wizard
The new ARKU Wizard is already revolutionizing the operation of deburring and leveling machines. With just the push of a button, the machine automatically determines the optimal settings for each individual part. This not only reduces setup time but also increases repeatability—regardless of the operator’s level of experience.
Visitors to the InfoDays can experience the Wizard live in action on nearly all deburring and leveling machines.
The Future of Leveling: Precision for Thin and Thick Sheet Metal
In the field of leveling, ARKU is showcasing its full range of precision levelers—from the compact EcoMaster®, ideal for smaller parts, to the high-performance FlatMaster®, capable of reliably leveling flame cut parts up to 60 mm thick.
However, the focus goes beyond leveling individual sheet metal parts—coil processing and leveling is also a key highlight of the InfoDays.
Coil Laser Systems Increase Material Efficiency
Another major highlight is the topic of coil laser systems—a joint development with TRUMPF. This innovation allows sheet metal fabricators to flexibly process medium batch sizes directly from coil. Compared to cutting from standard-sized sheets, part cutting from coil generates significantly less waste.
By eliminating fixed format limitations, sheet metal parts can be nested more efficiently—enabling up to 30% material savings for large-format components. ARKU will showcase a system example demonstrating how laser shops can produce their own sheet metal blanks.
Retrofit: Sustainable Modernization Instead of Buying New
In addition to new systems, ARKU is also putting the spotlight on retrofit solutions: modernizing existing coil lines offers companies a cost-effective and sustainable alternative to purchasing new equipment. Retrofits can significantly increase performance, energy efficiency, and automation levels—while keeping investment costs low.
ARKU provides customized, hands-on consulting to help businesses get their existing systems ready for the future.
In summary, the in-house exhibition offers an excellent opportunity for personal interaction. Visitors can receive one-on-one consultations tailored to their specific applications. They’re also welcome to bring their own parts for live leveling and deburring demonstrations.
