The slag hammer simplifies processing of flame cut parts
In addition to burrs, flame cutting also produces slag and an oxide layer on the underside of the material. This slag can be removed mechanically with a slag hammer. Small hammer tools strike the part from below until the slag is reliably removed. In contrast to manual processing, the heavy flame-cut parts do not have to be turned over and can be processed further in their position directly from the cutting table. On the one hand, this reduces the strain and potential danger for the employees and on the other, simplifies the overall process. Speed and reliability are also greater with a slag hammer than with manual work. Mechanical slag removal thus ensures safety for the complete deburring process.
