Nearly 80 percent of Devillers parts
are processed on the FlatMaster
Hericourt – Devillers Oxycoupage is one of the largest flamecutting companies in France. They currently employ more than 500 people in plants in France and Poland. The flamecutting specialist processes more than 65,000 tons of material each year. Officials of Devillers say they expect that number to increase to more than 100,000 tons for 2009. This was one of several reasons why Devillers purchased a FlatMaster 120 in 2007.
The FlatMaster levels flame-cut parts up to 35 mm in thickness. For Devillers, that means nearly 80 percent of their parts will be processed on the FlatMaster. Devillers chose ARKU because of the ability of the FlatMaster 120 to level such a wide range of sheet metal thickness. The precision leveler can handle sheet metal parts ranging from 3 mm to 35 mm thick.
Quick change of the levelling rollers provides another advantage. Dirt and material residues accumulating in the leveling unit during daily production need to be cleaned.
Thorough cleaning of the levelling and backup rollers provides consistent leveling results and prevents damage caused by contamination of the leveling unit. When frequent changes are required, considerable time savings are achieved with the RollerPickup.
With the quick change of the leveling rollers, the leveler has not to be dismounted for days and is ready for the next shift within a few hours. Devillers Oxycoupage is convinced by the FlatMaster. Due to this ARKU will deliver a second ARKU FlatMaster in April to Devillers plant in Poland.
