ARKU wins the Global2012 Foreign Trade Prize

Baden-Baden, 9th of November 2011 – ARKU Maschinenbau GmbH won 1st prize in the Manufacturing category of the Global2011. The competition provides the participating companies with a chance to demonstrate how they make use of global opportunities. The competition was organized by the TechnologieRegion Karlsruhe and took place for the first time this year.
The prize was presented at the awards celebration in Karlsruhe on the 7th of November. The competition evaluated the participating companies' innovative internationalization strategies. "The jury's decision was a result of, in particular, the service-oriented sales structure, the idea of utilizing multinational financing concepts and the international staffing", stated the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce Foreign Trade Committee, Robert W. Huber, regarding ARKU's win.
The Global2011 aims to motivate middle-sized companies to increase their international activities. In addition, the competition also serves to highlight the important success factors involved in international business. For ARKU, the 1st prize provides solid proof of its international market presence. The award also represents a further motivation to continue expanding the successful international strategy.

Heinz Fenrich, Chairman of the TechnologieRegion Karlsruhe and Mayor of Karlsruhe city. In his speech at the awards ceremony, Mr. Reiss thanked the national customers, in particular, for taking ARKU with them in the course of their own international expansion. Furthermore, he also encouraged middle-sized companies to participate in future competitions in order to enhance their own success factors.
