BOGBALLE, one of the world's largest manufacturers of sturdy mounted fertilizer spreaders, utilizes powder coating to protect its equipment. In order to optimize the coating process, the company switched from partially manual to fully automated deburring.
The agricultural use of mineral fertilizers demands durable spreaders. However, the powerful fertilizers can corrode the steel housing of the equipment. As such, this equipment needs optimum protection to ensure a long service life. That is why BOGBALLE relies on powder coating. Smooth, deburred parts are essential to prevent the powder coating from flaking off. These ensure that the powder coating does not flake off and deliver uniform results.
The powder coating process at BOGBALLE needed to be optimized. That is why the company switched from partially manual to fully automated deburring. Impressed with the good performance of the EdgeRacer®-deburring machine, which BOGBALLE uses for thinner panels, the Danish company then purchased the EdgeBreaker® 2000. This machine enables parts up to 80 mm thick to be deburred. "We wanted to improve the quality and the throughput of the thicker parts. Internet research quickly drew our attention to the EdgeBreaker® 2000", reports Henrik G. Nielsen, Operations Manager at BOGBALLE. The company initially tested the machine at ARKU's Leveling and Deburring Center in Baden-Baden. Impressed with the results, the company decided to purchase the EdgeBreaker® 2000.

Thanks to the new EdgeBreaker® 2000, BOGBALLE has increased its production by around 20% since May 2016 – and significantly reduced manual processing.
